Have Any Questions?

FAQ’s

What do I need to do to be prepared for the session?

Candidates should come prepared having done the assigned daily HW. I will then tailor a lesson plan based on the goals achieved during that week. We normally spend about 20-30 minutes going over questions the student has about the concepts. Then, we delve into both MCQs and simulations. Please be transparent if you are running behind on the HW-I will work with you to make the lesson as effective as possible.

What is the cancellation policy?

I have a non-negotiable 72-hour cancellation/rescheduling policy. Candidates who cancel or attempt to reschedule a session within 72 hours are automatically charged in full for the session. On average, I tutor about 50-60 different candidates and have a full-time job as a Real Estate Auditor. I plan my schedule weeks in advance and ask that you make sure you can join at the designated meeting time. In the event of a documented emergency, I will waive this policy.

Do you have any study materials?

I do not make my own study materials. Many tutors who do so use this to frankly make extra money at the expense of the student. I have a list of approved CPA Examination Resources which you can see below:

Primary Courses:

Becker CPA

Roger CPA

Wiley CPA

Surgent CPA

Supplemental Courses:

Darius Clark’s i75

Universal CPA

Do you have a pass guarantee?

Tutors do not offer pass guarantees. Remember, we are a guide to help you pass the exam and serve as a supplement not a substitute to your review course. I can teach you the concepts, but it’s expected that you put in the effort on your own to pass the exams.

How do I book a session with you?

I ask candidates to please reach out to me via cell phone at 516-398-6253 if they want to schedule a session. You can text me to set up a time. Students normally book me 1-2 weeks in advance. I tend to book up for the entire month very quickly as well. If you feel you are going to need help, please reach out ASAP so I can budget my tutoring schedule accordingly.

What happens if I am put on the waiting list?

Given that I tutor 50-60 students one-on-one and work a full-time job, sometimes candidates are placed on my weekly waiting list. There are chances of getting off the waiting list if it is early in the week. By Thursday night, the 72 hour cancellation policy would be in full effect for all my weekend students thus making it unlikely for you to get a spot. If you are placed on the waiting list, you will receive priority for booking me early the following week. I am very flexible with scheduling my students.

How do I handle payment?

Payment is due one week before the scheduled session. As soon as a time slot is confirmed, a student must pay me using the approved payment methods listed on my site to confirm the session. I do not hold time slots if they are not paid for in advance. I book on a first come-first serve basis. If you are using PayPal for payment, I ask that you treat it as a good or service. You will also be subject to seller’s fees which will be added to the tutoring price. Other approved methods of payment include Venmo, Apple Cash, or Zelle. I have no preference with regards to the payment application. However, I generally prefer Cash over Credit Card.

When can I attend group sessions?

I generally prefer private tutoring as it is more effective to meet one-on-one with a student. If there is enough demand, I’m happy to host a group tutoring session to go over a chapter or topic. I also host Final Review Cram Sessions for candidates who take the examination at the end of a window. Feel free to reach out if you are interested in attending a Cram Session. Group Tutoring Rates can be seen on the Rates section of my site. My cancellation policies are treated the same as well.
